How long will a portable power station run my appliance?
Divide the capacity by the appliance’s power, then allow for about 15% conversion loss. A 1 kWh station runs a 100 W load for roughly 8 to 9 hours; a 3 kWh station runs it for roughly 25 hours.
Which size should I choose?
Add up the watts of what you want to run and the hours you need it. Choose 1 kWh for lights, phones and a TV, and 2 kWh or 3 kWh for longer outages or heavier loads such as a fridge or power tools.
